Mr. O'Neill led Alcoa to become the safest workplace in the world, while increasing its market capitalization by more than 800%. Today, Alcoa operates across more than 40 countries at a lost workday rate that is 20 times lower than the average rate for American hospitals. Clifton N. Orme, President and COO, International Hospital Corporation Cliff Orme leads the division of IHC which includes Mexico and Central America. Prior to joining the company he served as CEO/Administrator of a 155-bed hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Orme is experienced in multi-site operations and has spent the majority of his career in for-profit hospitals. He excels and leading turnarounds which embed pathbreaking continuous improvement systems. Mr. Orme is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and currently serves an an external director for the Association of Professionals in Infection Control (APIC)/ Richard P. Shannon, MD, Chairman, Department of Medicine & Frank Wister Thomas Professor of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System Dr. Richard Shannon's pioneering work in patient safety has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, on CNN and ABC's "20/20," and was recently a centerpiece for the PBS feature entitled "Remaking American Medicine." John Toussaint, MD John Toussaint is the founder and President of the ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value and author of On The Mend. From 2000-2008, he served as president and CEO of ThedaCare, Inc., a community-owned, four-hospital health system in Northeast Wisconsin. During his tenure, Dr. Toussaint introduced the ThedaCare Improvement System (TIS), which is derived from the Toyota Production system. This model of continuous improvement helped save millions of dollars by reducing patient errors, improving outcomes and delivering better quality care at a higher value. Under Dr. Toussaint's watch, ThedaCare's revenue grew two and a half times. The organization received multiple quality awards including the National Committee for Quality Assurance's No. 1 ranking for HEDIS® measures two years in a row and has been using electronic medical records since 1997.
