Jill has over 15 years of experience coaching Lean principles, A3 thinking, and Lean management system development. She was first introduced to process improvement concepts during her 12 years working in the paper industry in engineering, manufacturing, and quality roles. She was certified through ASQ as a six sigma black belt in 2005.

Jill then spent eight years at ThedaCare as an improvement facilitator, Hospitalist manager, and medical staff manager where she was an early adaptor, mentor, and coach of ThedaCare’s Lean management system. She has successfully taught and coached Lean concepts to both employed and independent physicians resulting in patient satisfaction, productivity, quality, and engagement improvements. Jill also supported hospital leadership in daily improvement, rapid improvement events, and value stream work.

Jill earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. and in Chemical Physics from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN.

Jill has been teaching Lean management system behaviors and practices throughout North America since 2012, on topics such as A3 Thinking, Coaching, Management Systems, Daily Improvement and Coaching Kata, Spreading Improvements, and Deploying and Operationalizing Strategy. Jill has been serving others as an improvement and leadership consultant since 2016, focusing primarily in healthcare and education.
