For more than three years, Courtney Dunning has been the quiet engine that keeps Value Capture humming. From complex calendar choreography to flawless event logistics, she supports our Leadership, Advisory, and Communications teams so they can stay laser-focused on helping health-care organizations deliver safer, more effective care.
Courtney joined us after seven years in administrative and executive-secretary roles at a large Western New York health system. That experience gave her a deep understanding of how every role, regardless of title, contributes to the bigger picture of patient care. It also taught her the importance of clear communication, adaptability, and staying calm under pressure. Whether she’s solving a scheduling puzzle, anticipating a client’s needs before they ask, or coordinating seminars and multi-site site visits, Courtney makes sure every detail aligns with our purpose of pursuing perfect care and safety.
“Even behind the scenes, every action contributes to something bigger. When operations flow smoothly, leaders can devote their energy to transforming care, and that’s incredibly rewarding.”
Courtney believes every person has value and potential. She thrives in an environment where dignity, integrity, and trust are non-negotiable and where every contribution is recognized, no matter how visible. Her favorite professional moment to date? Hearing Michael Bundy share his “pancake-syrup theory” for the first time at our Enduring Excellence seminar, a powerful reminder that disciplined daily work can touch individual lives in profound ways, and that every role, no matter how behind-the-scenes it may seem, plays a vital part in creating meaningful impact.
Courtney’s Guiding Advice:
- Stay curious and courageous. Real transformation rarely happens by playing it safe.
- Keep learning. Healthcare’s complexity demands a growth mindset.
“Helping others achieve their goals is my north star—because when each of us performs at our best, the ripple effect reaches patients, families, and communities.”
